Day 6 - One Last Day

You will need to put the meat on the top of the peak with holes to cook. At first we thought it was quite innovative. But we were disappointed when the food started to slide down when they were almost cooked -_-".

Day 2 - Patpong, Kings Cross

Its the Saturday and we decided not to waste it. Woke up late and late for breakfast. Had our free breakfast from the hotel and we went to Pratunam Market, Platinum Mall and those shops around that area. Had lunch at the Platinum Mall. The food is real cheap. Its like 2 to 3 SGD per dish. Although the portion is generally small its more than enough when you ordered 2 dishes. If i am not wrong dear and me ordered 1 fried mussels(my fav), 1 teriyaki chicken, 1 set of satay and mango rice(my fav). Haha.
After lunch we continue on walking around the mall. Bought a couple of T-shirts and small small stuff. After which we continue to walk around the area and those road side stalls.
Went back to hotel to rest and bathe before we go out for dinner. Took the BTS(MRT) for a few stops before we reach Patpong. The famous Red-light-district. Walked around and could see the different clubs touting. Alot of things to see la. After which we went to eat at this black shop. What i mean by black shop is that the things they sold is super super expensive. I don't want to think about it anymore. F. Anyway before we leave the shop after we ate, we saw a Eurasian couple walking in. We told them its super expensive and they hesitated to go in. Serve the restaurant right.
Continue to walked around the bazaar. Saw a stingray wallet my dad wanted me to buy. I forgot how much he coded me initially. Around 150 SgD if i am not wrong. So super expensive. So i expressed my disappointment and wanting to leave. He stopped me and asked me to give him my budget. Since i don't know the price i wanted to leave. Then dear helped me to type 40 sgd on his calculator. He said ok. They he helped me wrapped up and all. At that point of time i really not wanting to buy the wallet anymore. The the storekeeper got flare-up and told me he can go all the way down to 20 Sgd. I just want to get out of the place immediately. Kanna scoldings lo. In Thai some more. I also dunno how to react back. So just walked away. Damn malu.
Anyway along the way, don't know why all the pimps keep wanting to pull me inside the clubs. There were 7 of us, 4 were girls. So out of the 3 guys, i got like 80% of the time they came up to me instead. Even when i tried to change formation from walking front to tail also couldn't change the fact. Lol. Do i really have the kind of face that frequents these areas.
We took taxi to Kings Cross. Where they have the clubs and all. Really alot of youngsters and foreigners were there. Went to one local club with all the Thai Hits. Don't understand the songs, but the atmosphere quite high.
Got one Chivas and Coke as mixers. Since they dun really have a dancefloor, so we play drinking games lo. Like the "tapping game", the "who-what-huh?", "7-up". Drink until damn high and talk alot of nonsense on the way back to hotel.
Had a good night sleep.

Day 1 - Bangkok Trip

Happy anniversary dear. 3 more months before our 5th year.

On the wee morning of 20th, we had to make t to the airport. Taking Tiger Airways with the flight taking off at 630am. Had to checked in at 430am. The night before i tried to get some sleep. But no matter how much i tried, i couldn't. Surfed some net and watch TV until around 3 plus, got my brother to takeaway supper for early breakfast.

Reached the budget terminal at 4.15 and surprised to see Jingpei and Derrick already there. hang around and waited before we could board. When we finally get to board, we were surprised that we got separated by the seat arrangement. The plane's sitting arrangement is three by three in each row. There were for of us and dear and me got separated by the walkway. Since it was dear's first flight i wanted her to be beside me and i am sure she wanted that. So i went to the back of the plane and asked around for empty seats. Found two with window view. Haha. Beside was one lady probably from Hongkong from her accent. Managed to catch sunrise and the flight last slightly more than two hours. Landed and was dead tired since i didn't get enough rest last night.

Took a taxi and proceed to Samran Place Hotel immediately. Didn't realize the hotel is so small, wondering if it is really considered a hotel in the first place. Only one room is ready at that point of time. So Derrick checked in first and we had to wait till one pm. Kept our luggages and we went to MBK, which is only 15 mins walk away. Walk around and didn't want to purchase anything because we knew that the items were overpriced. Decided to catch a movie since we dun really have anything to do. And its the first time anyway, watching movie overseas. Bought tickets for" Act Smart" and walked around between shopping complexes. The price is much cheaper than Singapore but i forgot the price. Around 5 to 6 SGD if i am not wrong. Went to had lunch and bought a number of dishes to share between us. Bought Fried Mussels, Papaya salad, Mango Rice, Cripsy Noodle and Fried rice. Mango rice and fried mussels are damn nice. Still couldn't forget the taste. Dear started the ball rolling by buying a pair of shoes. The first thing i bought was a pair of underwear. Interesting picture with a phrase "skin head". Lol. We went to like 4 or 5 complexes before our movie timing.

Finally we could watch movie after so much waiting. Anyway, the complex is called SF Cinema Complex and i kept telling dear that she is so rich to own a complex overseas. I realized SF Cinema is like GV in Singapore with a lot of branches. Before entering the theater, was stopped by the security because i was carrying cameras. Had to surrender first. Who would have thought of how strict could the security be when pirated discs could be found everywhere. Went in and god, the advertisement was damn long. Halfway, we had to stand up to pay compliments to the King when a short video and anthem was played. Overall the movie was quite nice and funny. Especially the toilet scene. I was like WTF is this. Hahaha. Almost fell asleep in the middle where there were a lot of talking. Watching Dear and Jingpei taking turns to meditate. Lol.

After movie we went back to hotel to rest before moving out to the roadside stalls to have dinner. The food aren't really nice especially the beef. But i can say the rest are fine. Walk around the roadside shops while waiting for Huiyi they all. After walking for quite sometime, we went back to hotel to rest and wait at the same time.

Finally they reached around 10 plus. Their flight was delayed. Went with them to eat, although i literally sat there and watch them eat. Not hungry since dinner. Went back to sleep and ended day one.

BAck..

Yes. I am back from Bangkok. What a trip. Really enjoyed myself. Although 6 days are abit too long. But its worth it considering we had done alot of things.
Looking forward to the next trip.

Bangkok tonight

We are going to bangkok on 20th June 630 flight. Which is tonight. Quite sometime since i went overseas for leisure. Last month to Malaysia for wedding. Last year to Taiwan for training. So it means that the last time i went overseas to relax is at poly third year. Coincidentally to Bangkok too.
This trip is what dear had been bugging me for quite sometime. Sorry. Had to make you wait for so long before bringing you overseas. Haha. No more saying of you never took a plane before, never go far far okie? Hope you enjoy this trip.

We will be coming back on wed. If i am not wrong. Not that there's alot of things to do in Bangkok. But rather i can spend a couple of more days with dear. Looking forward for you to stick 24 hours a day to me. c",)

Ixus Cam is mine!!

Went to PC Show yesterday afternoon. Bought an Ixus 860 is. Went to Canon booth straight and since i couldn't get the extra battery from the UOB offer, i asked whether i could trade my 4GB memory stick for a battery. But the saleslady told me she could settle it by finding her friend to buy using his card.

Although the camera was out for quite some time since last year. But i think it is still worth the price tag, considering it is one of the most popular point and shoot camera around. Got to thanks the salesgirl for the extra battery. ^_^

After that went to shopping with dear at Suntec. She bought some skincare products. And found her Cocoa Butter lip balm from Bodyshop. Although another branch told her it wouldn't be in stock soon. The smell is really nice. Very familiar and sweet taste. Though i can't really find a word to describe it.

Home and went for a jog around the neighborhood. Long since i went for a run. Watch some variety and now waiting for my battery to complete the initial 8 hours charge.

Tired like fark.

Went for driving yesterday. Third in a row. Used to think how tiring can driving be? Changed my mind totally. Drive until damn tired everyday. Straight to the bed every time i reached home after lesson. But yest waited for dear since my 3pm lesson until she reached around 6pm. Really feel like dying especially when you almost walk through the whole PS. Last hour cannot take it went to play arcade. Lol.
But tidbits intending to eat while we watch DVD. End up sleeping early. Too tired. Next lesson on Monday.

Scolded

Did my 5th driving lesson this evening. Everything was going well. Able to control the clutch with ease and all. Until the ending portion. Did a couple of mistakes and began to lose confidence. Realized it took alot of confidence other than concentration to drive.

Mistakes i did.
Car stalled because i forgot to clutch in at traffic light.
Car stalled after i try starting the car on gear 3.
Nearly hit kerb after U-turn.
Change lane without checking blind spot.
Drive too fast across a zebra-crossing.
Didn't stop at STOP sign.
Shift steering wheel instead of turning it. -> nearly crash into a car if not for e-braking.

Kanna scolded because of the last mistake. Haiz. But its better to be scolded isn't it. Rather when accident happened and you have to blame it on not learning from previous mistakes. Another lesson tomorrow.

5 June

Today i have got Dear to accompany me for the whole day. Alot of things happened today.
Firstly in the morning, had to wake up early to wait for some technician to install the mio thing. Had to wait till noon before he completed before i could meet dear after her work. She got half day break today. ^_^.
Lunch at Superdog vivo. Ordered the normal except for the grilled fish burger dear was having. Not a bad thing but except the kou gan is too soft. After that we went over to POSB to do dears GO card she needs when we go BKK. And we withdrew some money too.
Next stop, BATA. I need to get a new leather shoe for my aunts wedding dinner this sat. Bought one for $70. Not a bad looking one. But afraid its too fitting though the salesgirl said it will expand through time.
Walk around looking at cameras, boutiques and stop over at Adidas. Wondered will my $100 cash voucher be used today. Gotten it since ending of last year and didnt get to use it till its going to be expired soon. Then dear spotted a red Firebird series i have been looking around for ages. Actually before this i was considering buying either a black or red jacket. The last resort will be a basketball shoe. But since the red looks good and the whole entire series seemed to be wipeout. Bought it immediately and also a wallet for dear to expand the voucher fully. The jacket cost 80+ after 30% discount. Get to know its last piece last size in all Adidas retails from the salesman. So lucky. After buying, some survey guy stop me and dear for a short survey. After the survey, the souvenir was a $10 adidas voucher. So dear and me got $20 in total. Going to spend it next visit ba. Haha.
Went home after gotten Dear mad. Didnt want to figure out whos fault is it liao. Anyway it always takes two hands to clap. Dear got her contacts done at one of the shops in my neighbourhood. The salesgirl thought we were rushing her when we told her we needed it before our BKK trip in 2 weeks time. Then she kept assuring she would get it for us asap. Haha. So funny. But it shows that she is really concerned about customer interest. Hehe.
Went home for dinner...

Celebrated our 56 months anniversary on last Thursday. Actually intending to view some cameras after dinner at Tony Romas in Suntec. But it was already like 9+ after dinner. Loithered around for a while before sending her home.
