The story is about a father together with his son participating in Marathons, Duathlons, Triathlons and even Ironman. His son is unfortunately disabled at birth. When Dick(father) runs, Rick(son) is in a wheelchair that Dick is pushing. When Dick cycles, Rick is in the seat-pod from his wheelchair, attached to the front of the bike. When Dick swims, Rick is in a small but heavy, firmly stabilized boat being pulled by Dick.
To you and me, it may be difficult even to complete one of those. But to bring another with you along, its close to impossible. Considering these, you realize that the father can actually be considered one of the elites. But he will never compete alone, because to him, its the only way to make his son feels he's alive.

Swimming in Jurong
Had an enjoyable day. Went to Chinese Garden to swim with pream, lianghua and hanping. End up late because i was stuck in the toilet for 1/2 an hour. Diarrhea.
Swan for 3 plus hours. Tried the slides from the yellow one to the blue one. Seriously i was damn scared. Yellow which was the lowest one was still alright. But for the blue one, i was thrown off the float in the middle. Imagine having to try to sit back onto the float while sliding down. For the red one, was flipped over after exiting the slide.
Had KFC for lunch and after which we helped one auntie to carry her cabinet all the was upstairs to the kindergarten. Haha. Next stop Hanping house. Took taxi there. Played Risk all the way until evening before meeting dear for dinner. Diarrhea again. Drank hundred plus and hoped it helps. Went to Royal Sporting House and bought a new pair of Speedo optical goggles. With more accurate degree so that i can see better. The previous one i think the degree is only half of this. Lol. Try out next time.

Post Bday Celebration
Dear came over in the morning after her night shift. After sleeping for awhile more we had to make our way to Bugis because i had to meet my man to register for the NikePlus Human Race in August.
Reached around 3 and those two idiots were nowhere in sight. Proceeded to register first. Quarreled again after some miscommunication. But we managed to talk peace in no time. Maybe was because she was happier after seeing her idol. We actually ran into an event by Lin You Jia. End up listening to him in the rain.
Met the two guys at MOS burger. Talk cock for awhile before we made our move. Walk around some more before we went to Marina Square for dinner. Ate at Xin Wang Cafe again. Actually the main dishes not very nice. But i like the Yuan Yang a lot. Hope my future wife will make it for me daily. After dinner, we went to Esplanade. We guessed that the NE show was today from the security and the primary school students we saw in the afternoon.
Just make it to see the Guard of Honor to march past as they stopped outside the stadium. Initially we wanted to go to the Esplanade park. But it seems that we may not get there since the whole area was fenced-up. So we ended up squeezing our way through to the side of the river in front of Esplanade. Saw the Bird shaped balloon tied to the army assault boats. Reminded me of my army days when we had to sit on these to attack our objectives. Anyway, rain started to pour heavily halfway through our wait for the fireworks. Alot of people started to leave the place. Dear also keen of the idea on leaving. But i quickly found shelter under the roof of a ticketing booth for the river taxi. Although the space was really small, it was more then enough for the two of us. Waited for half an hour and we finally saw the fireworks. It was impressive. But not really that amazing. Anyway the rain got so big that we quickly leave that place. Then we heard that there were blasting sounds from fireworks. Oh my god, it was the second round. We rushed out again and we caught the last few moments.
Went home and had a hot bath before resting. What a good day.
PS : Though it was not what you have planned at all, but i really enjoyed the day. Sometimes you don't have to follow plans all the way. It will only make you bored and lose all the fun. I am just as happy as long as you make the decisions and the efforts to make my day.

Questions that made me Google
Q1) Can lighting strike a plane? Yes it can. But the question you really wanted to know is whether lighting can strike DOWN a plane. It highly unlikely. Although it did happen in the history. But advancing technologies allow a plane to be safe even when struck. The materials of a plane body is highly conductive but engineers assure that the lighting remains outside the body. Lighting hit the plane and will past through and out from the tail area. The last known crash from lighting is in 1967 when fuel tank explosion happened.
2) Why does one player wears different jersey from the rest of the team in a game? Also known as the Liberos. Meaning 'free' as they have the ability to substitute for any other player on the court during each play. They cannot block or attack the ball when it is entirely above net height. Generally, the most skilled defensive player on the team and they can replace any back-row player, without prior notice to the officials.

Talk, Fried Noodle and One piece Ship
Dear had an off today and she decided to accompany me the whole day. Woke up late because of the midnight show we watched. Don't mess with Zohan. Really a very nice show. Going to download and watch again. Haha. So we went to town for shopping in the late afternoon. Had a long talk on the train from Woodlands all the way to Bishan. About what's going on all this while. The differences, arguments and what i felt. Really hope our relationship can be better. Got so emotional at a point that i cant control. So sorry. Anyway we reached Far East plaza and went to find the Indonesian restaurant for the spicy fried noodle. Really nice and DAMN spicy. But you will really get the kick. Saw a "one piece" model ship. Learned that it was actually those kind with different parts in different boxes. You have to buy and assemble to make it into a complete display set. $40 buck and comes in a set of 5 boxes. Bought it immediately as we were told it was no longer on sales outside. Hehe. My first birthday present. Went to Crumpler to see my second birthday gift. Quite expensive. Maybe i could share the cost with dear? Walked abit more and we went home separately. Really wish she could have more time with me. Really had this feeling that we can get back the same feeling we used to hold on so strongly before. We WILL.
PS: Please leave your door open for me to squeeze in. You will see a better me i promise.
