Day 1 - Bangkok Trip

Happy anniversary dear. 3 more months before our 5th year.

On the wee morning of 20th, we had to make t to the airport. Taking Tiger Airways with the flight taking off at 630am. Had to checked in at 430am. The night before i tried to get some sleep. But no matter how much i tried, i couldn't. Surfed some net and watch TV until around 3 plus, got my brother to takeaway supper for early breakfast.

Reached the budget terminal at 4.15 and surprised to see Jingpei and Derrick already there. hang around and waited before we could board. When we finally get to board, we were surprised that we got separated by the seat arrangement. The plane's sitting arrangement is three by three in each row. There were for of us and dear and me got separated by the walkway. Since it was dear's first flight i wanted her to be beside me and i am sure she wanted that. So i went to the back of the plane and asked around for empty seats. Found two with window view. Haha. Beside was one lady probably from Hongkong from her accent. Managed to catch sunrise and the flight last slightly more than two hours. Landed and was dead tired since i didn't get enough rest last night.

Took a taxi and proceed to Samran Place Hotel immediately. Didn't realize the hotel is so small, wondering if it is really considered a hotel in the first place. Only one room is ready at that point of time. So Derrick checked in first and we had to wait till one pm. Kept our luggages and we went to MBK, which is only 15 mins walk away. Walk around and didn't want to purchase anything because we knew that the items were overpriced. Decided to catch a movie since we dun really have anything to do. And its the first time anyway, watching movie overseas. Bought tickets for" Act Smart" and walked around between shopping complexes. The price is much cheaper than Singapore but i forgot the price. Around 5 to 6 SGD if i am not wrong. Went to had lunch and bought a number of dishes to share between us. Bought Fried Mussels, Papaya salad, Mango Rice, Cripsy Noodle and Fried rice. Mango rice and fried mussels are damn nice. Still couldn't forget the taste. Dear started the ball rolling by buying a pair of shoes. The first thing i bought was a pair of underwear. Interesting picture with a phrase "skin head". Lol. We went to like 4 or 5 complexes before our movie timing.

Finally we could watch movie after so much waiting. Anyway, the complex is called SF Cinema Complex and i kept telling dear that she is so rich to own a complex overseas. I realized SF Cinema is like GV in Singapore with a lot of branches. Before entering the theater, was stopped by the security because i was carrying cameras. Had to surrender first. Who would have thought of how strict could the security be when pirated discs could be found everywhere. Went in and god, the advertisement was damn long. Halfway, we had to stand up to pay compliments to the King when a short video and anthem was played. Overall the movie was quite nice and funny. Especially the toilet scene. I was like WTF is this. Hahaha. Almost fell asleep in the middle where there were a lot of talking. Watching Dear and Jingpei taking turns to meditate. Lol.

After movie we went back to hotel to rest before moving out to the roadside stalls to have dinner. The food aren't really nice especially the beef. But i can say the rest are fine. Walk around the roadside shops while waiting for Huiyi they all. After walking for quite sometime, we went back to hotel to rest and wait at the same time.

Finally they reached around 10 plus. Their flight was delayed. Went with them to eat, although i literally sat there and watch them eat. Not hungry since dinner. Went back to sleep and ended day one.
